Washington Governor Jay Inslee will offer the keynote speech at CWU's annual Economic Outlook Conference held October 29 at Central Washington University. The governor will focus on water rights, transportation, and other issues affecting economic growth and businesses in central and eastern Washington. The state legislature has been discussing a special session later in the fall to address the transportation budget, which was not resolved in the regular session.
The conference also features a presentation by M&H Economic Consultant John Mitchell, a panel discussion on the agricultural outlook for central Washington, and special presentation by Steven Lerch, executive director and chief economist, Washington State Economic Forecast and Revenue Council.
The conference begins at 9:00 a.m., in CWU’s Student Union and Recreation Center Ballroom. For more information, or to register, go to www.cwu.edu/business/eoc or call 509-963-3057.
