Student Featured in Planning Magazine

CWU Geography major Isaac Anzlovar was featured in an issue of Cityvision, the monthly magazine of the Association of Washington Cities. The article describes the effort to revitalize First Street in Cle Elum, a project in which CWU faculty and students have been integral. Beginning with a group of students taking a planning class at Central in 2017 and then continuing with a couple of students, including Isaac, hired as interns, CWU’s Geography Department has played a key role in gathering public input about the city’s plan changes to the streetscape. The first ribbon-cutting on the renew First Street took place in November 2018 and final completion of the project is slated for 2022.
