During most of 2017 I was doing a lot of independent research pertaining to drone imagery. I spoke with several farmers and Ag companies around Yakima and made orthomosaics of their orchards with my drone. This was mostly just to help make the local Ag community more aware of the booming agriculture-drone industry. I’ve recently been contemplating grad school and would like to study this topic more if I do decide to go. In November 2017 I moved to Meridian Idaho for a job with the City’s Urban Planning/Community Development Department as an Addressing Technician. Meridian and the Boise metro area  is the fastest growing area in the country (https://www.forbes.com/sites/samanthasharf/2018/02/28/americas-fastest-g...) and I get to assign addresses and help name streets for all the new subdivisions that are coming in. It’s interesting work for sure and I know my GIS degree helped me get the job.
