GIS/RS: Computer Science/Databases

We live in an Information Age and much of the exploding volume of information is distinctly geographical. Managing that information and harnessing it to make better decisions have become urgent priorities across much of the economy, creating abundant, good-paying jobs for well qualified geography majors. Our graduates have found jobs in with local governments and tribal agencies, real estate developers, and consultancies. See a list of job titles and employers for our graduates here. There is more information about geography careers available from the Association of American Geographers here. Open the link and look under “Geographic Technology” for ideas.
