Natural Sciences: Geosciences

Working with private citizens, government agencies, and tribal members, geographers with an interest in geosciences pursue careers that involve such activities as:

  • mapping watersheds and floodplains
  • conducting environmental impact analyses
  • collecting and analyzing field data on natural systems, including soils and plate tectonics
