Knud Martin

Project Engineer – Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) / Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD)

I currently work for a small group that is part of the United States Department of Transportation that works on federally owned roads and bridges throughout Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Constructing projects to provide or rebuild access to National Parks, Forest Lands, Wildlife Refuges, Military, as well as Native American lands. I find myself using my Geography and Land Studies degree almost every day in looking at our building techniques and the topography as well as the process affecting the finished product and whether it will last for another 30 years plus.
