An exploration of today’s Europe, its physical and cultural geography, human-environment interactions, landscapes, regional diversity and role in today’s world.

Knowledge and Skills Developed:

  • Knowledge of the countries, major cities, and physical features that of Latin America.
  • Understanding of the cultural, environmental, and historical foundations of contemporary Latin America, including cultures, population and settlement, economic activities, agriculture, and colonial landscapes.
  • Understanding of major geographic issues in modern Latin America, including environmental challenges, population and migration concerns, economic transitions, and social, political, and cultural tensions.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and communicate the complex cultural and physical diversity of Latin America in oral and written forms.
