Central Washington University (CWU) has identified the following fundraising priorities designed to maximize student impact and strengthen higher education at CWU.
Students First Fund provides direct and immediate impact to students in the form of annual scholarships and academic program support.
Pillars Fund builds and strengthens the general endowment of the CWU Foundation, providing long-term scholarship and program support.
2. Endowment. A sound endowment is the financial bedrock upon which CWU pursues its mission. The ability to sustain operations and make targeted investments in the future hinges on the size and strength of the endowment.
In addition to providing a permanent stream of income for the university, endowment funds are a meaningful way to honor or memorialize family members, friends, or mentors. Donors can establish endowed funds through an outright gift or through a life income gift or bequest that converts to an endowed fund upon maturity.
3. Other Projects. The university also raises funds for special initiatives and capital projects. Starting academic year 2012/13, the following projects are examples of those ready to receive your support:
