A large wildfire is burning in the Mattawa area across the Columbia River to the east of the Boylstone Fire. A Level 2 evacuation notice is underway for the community of Desert Aire, south of Mattawa. A Red Cross shelter is available for evacuees at the Mattawa Junior High School. Update (6:30 p.m.): The Wanapum State Park evacuation level has been upgraded to Level 3.

A Level 3 evacuation notice is in effect for Auvil Fruit Company and Getty's Cove and a Level 2 evacuation notice for Wanapum State Park. Interstate 90 remains closed in both directions at Kittitas and Vantage, with no estimated time of reopening. The Boylston Fire, as it's being called, is growing easterly in heavy wind.

Update (4:12 p.m.):  All lanes of I-90 are now closed and traffic is being diverted westbound to the Vantage Highway, past the Vantage Bridge. The fire has jumped the median to the westside of the highway.

The roadway is fully blocked due to a fast-growing brush fire along 1-90, seven miles east of Kittitas. Traffic is taking Exit 117 for an alternate route. The fire is currently buring between Milepost 122 and 125. Source: Washington State Patrol

All evacuation notices have been lifted for the town of Vantage and Huntzinger Road has reopened to traffic. The Ryegrass Coulee Fire is expected to be fully contained today. Source: Kittitas County Sheriff

Update (8 p.m.): The evacuation order for Vantage has been lowered to a Level 1 - Be Aware.

The evacuation order for the town of Vantage has been lowered to Level 2. Residents are able to return home but are advised to continue to monitor the Ryegrass Coulee Fire status.

Both I-90 and Vantage Highway are open in both directions. Huntzinger Road remains closed south of I-90. Source:  Kittitas County Sheriff
