Areas of Moderate (yellow dots) air quality levels have been measured in northern and eastern Washington due to fires in Siberia, BC and Oregon. Ellensburg and the majority of the state currently have no major smoke impacts and the air quality is Good (green dots). Update (8:40 p.m.): Both lanes on I-9 eastbound are open.

I-90 has been reopened in both directions. I-90 eastbound is limited to one lane and the speed limit lowered to 40 mph. Authorities ask that you drive carefully and expect delays.

The Wanapum State Park evacuation level has been lowered to a Level 1. While Huntzinger Road is cloased at Wanapum State Park.

The evacuation level for Auvil Fruit Company and Getty's Cove will be lowered to a Level 1, effective tonight at 6 p.m.

The Boylston Fire began yesterday afternoon alongside I-90, seven miles east of Kittitas. The wildfire grew significantly overnight and was last reported at 70,000-80,000 acres, burning mostly on the Yakima Training Center.

I-90 has reopened in both directions. I-90 eastbound is limited to one lane and the speed limit has been reduced to 40 mph. Travelers are encouraged to drive with caution and plan for delays.

Huntzinger Road remains closed at Wanapum State Park, but the park has been lowered to a Level 1 evacuation notice. Auvil Fruit Company and Getty's Cove will have their evaculation level lowered to a Level 1 notice, effective at 6 p.m. tonight.

Update (11 a.m.): This fire is contained. There are no local road closures.

A new fire is burning south of I-90 and west of Canyon Road. Authorities ask drives to stay clear of the area due to smoky conditions. Source:  Kittitas County Sheriff

Update (10 a.m.): The Wanapum Recreation Area near Vantage is closed due to the Boylston Fire burning in the area.

Westbound I-90 is reopened to traffic while eastbound remains closed. The Boylston Fire grew substantially overnight to 58,000 acres. Motorists are instructed to make sure their vehicles are fully stocked with an emergency kit and supplies if they plan to cross the mountains today.  Source:  Washington State Patrol
