Step Up Internship Program

What is the Step Up Program?

The Step Up program is a paid internship offered to students of all majors at Central Washington University (CWU) which extends for two academic years with three rotations (two quarters per rotation). This internship is offered by the Business & Financial Affairs (BFA) division at CWU.


The Step Up program works to provide students the opportunity to:

  • Work within Central Washington University BFA departments
  • Experience how business is conducted at an institutional level
  • Contribute to university projects
  • Partake in job shadowing in different university departments
  • Receive professional mentoring
  • Gain REAL WORLD experience


Interns will have the opportunity to select three BFA departments to rotate between. What BFA Departments would be ideal for you? Check the links below for information about each.


Application Requirements

  • Students of sophomore standing
  • Students must have a 3.0 minimum Grade Point Average


Applications will be accepted January 1, 2020 through April 1, 2020
