About me:
I joined the CWU Family Studies program in 2012 and am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic and dedicated team of faculty. I grew up in the Puget Sound area, but also lived in the Willamette Valley where I completed my graduate studies, as well as Pullman, WA, where I taught for a year at Washington State University.
I am currently serving the last year of my term as President of the Northwest Council on Family Relations, and have enjoyed collaborating with other professionals in the region. My research and teaching activities center on emerging adulthood, family policy, immigrant families, and low-income families.
