I am a Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy & Religious Studies at Central Washington University, which is located in sunny (and windy) Ellensburg, Washington.

I have undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. I got my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Rutgers University in 2006.

My research is in the philosophy of mind and psychology, and also (more recently) in epistemology and the philosophy of childhood.

I teach a wide range of courses at all undergraduate levels. I am also developing an interest in philosophy for children (P4C).

I am the Vice President of United Faculty of Central, the faculty union at CWU.
