The Vice President for Business & Financial Affairs invites the campus to propose capital projects.
First deadline for submittals.
Proposers complete project-proposal forms here. Projects must complement the ten-year capital plan and the university's strategic plan.
Facilities Management assign project numbers and develops initial budget cost estimates.
Facilities Management distributes project information to division heads.
Proposals are evaluated and prioritized by department chairs and directors, who forward them to their respective deans and associate vice presidents.
By Dec 15: AVPs and deans prioritize the requests.
By Jan 30: AVPs and deans present priority projects (top three? two?) to cabinet.
By Feb 12:
Cabinet discusses the proposals and recommends projects to the president, who establishes the capital budget priorities.
The projects are presented to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval.
Present capital projects and ten-year capital budget to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval.
