Student Opportunities

In the Field, For the Future (Red Fish School of Change)

Good morning!

My name is Alexei Desmarais and I am a masters student in Environmental Education at Western Washington University (WWU). I help lead a summer field school in community leadership and bioregional studies called the Redfish School of Change. In its 9th year, Redfish is a trans-boundary collaboration between WWU and University of Victoria in Canada.

Each year we recruit students from across the US and Canada; the involvement of students representing diverse perspectives is key to the cross-cultural exchange that makes the Redfish community learning experience so rich.
