Congratulations to MA Literature Alumni TJ Tranchell!

 

Asleep in the Nightmare Room,” released in May 2016 in eBook with a print edition available June 19, by Blysster Press, is the second book from the Moscow, Idaho-based author. Tranchell joins the short story traditions of Hawthorne, Poe, Shirley Jackson, Stephen King, and Tom Piccirilii, to whom the book is dedicated.

Tranchell holds a Master of Arts in literature and bachelor’s in English from Central Washington University. Tranchell grew up in small towns in Utah, which serve as the framework for many of his stories. He has worked as a journalist in Seattle, Las Vegas and Sturgis, South Dakota. He is currently the student media adviser at the University of Idaho. Tranchell operates a horror website at www.warning-signs.net.
