Dear Robotic Team Coaches,

This year, Central Washington University (CWU) is proud to offer your students tuition waivers to attend CWU for the 2015-2016 academic year based on their participation in a robotics competition held at CWU.

Please take a few moments to consider your team members and students that have or will compete at tournaments held on the CWU campus this academic year (2015-2016).  Are they considering CWU as a choice for an excellent education in a STEM field?  Would a $1,000 or $2,000 tuition waiver assist them in paying for their education?

Dubbed a varsity Sport for the Mind,™ FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program a robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to “real world” engineering as a student can get. Professional Mentors volunteer their time and talents to guide each team.
