Steve Douglas, Media Engineer B for Information Technology Services/Networks and Operations, is the March EOM. He has more than 20 years of service to Multimedia Technology and Institutional Support. He was also selected as the EOM for December 2010.
His nominator wrote: “I manage the Wildcat Access advertising program. We have been expanding the program and have recently partnered with Housing and the Library to add screens in their buildings. After the software is loaded to the new player, Steve is the one to physically install it in the building.
“Through this whole process he has gone out of his way to help me. Also, even though it took several months to get the player ready, he was able to install it right away; knowing we were under a deadline. In addition, whenever there is an issue with the screens in the SURC, he is the first person I call. Often times he drops everything to come over and help me."
“Even if it isn’t necessarily part of his job, he always does his best to help troubleshoot any problem. He always responds to his e-mails right away and answers the phone regularly and, if not, he returns my call the same day. He always is incredibly helpful, understanding, he greets me with a smile and has the best customer service.”
