Executive Summary for Oracle Recruiting Software

On January 27, 2014, Central Washington University completed an eighteen month transition to Oracle PeopleSoft.  This change streamlined many processes and increased workflow efficiency in many areas; but not all.
The Human Resources Department recruits and processes new and returning faculty, civil service administrative/exempt and student employees.  Most applicants utilize the university’s website when applying for employment.  PeopleAdmin, the software tool the Human Resources Department utilizes to capture the personal information of these on-line applicants, is not able to transfer this data (or the position information) to PeopleSoft without significant integration.
The Human Resources Department provides a mission-critical service for Central Washington University.  After choosing a well-qualified applicant to fill a position, each department must wait for Human Resources to complete the hiring process before it can begin benefiting from the contribution of the new or returning employee.
