Infant Teacher, Rainbow Center
My name is Melinda Ledgard and I am working here at ECLC. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from C.W.U. in 1996 with a B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Science. After that I taught at an after school program at the Children’s Activity Museum as well as taught preschool at a local daycare/preschool. Later, I became the director of that daycare/preschool. Then I joined the ECLC/Rainbow family as the toddler teacher at Rainbow. Many of you may remember me from there. I am so thrilled to see how the toddlers I taught are now “big kids”.
Now, on a more personal note, I would like to share with you a little bit about me as a person. I am a mother of 5 children- ages 15, 14, 12, 10, and 8. My three oldest are boys, and the “babies” are girls. We are a very active family and my children participate in football, basketball, swimming, guitar, piano, and especially baseball. My husband also works for C.W.U. in the accounting department, and volunteers much of his time to youth baseball in our community. I have recently taken up running as an activity and will be running in my first half-marathon. I enjoy reading, cooking, and when I have time-quilting.
I love working with children – they are sooo fun! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
