The William O. Douglas Honors College has a separate admission form that should be completed and returned to the honors college office or online through the application below. The honors college application does not substitute for the Central Washington University Application for Undergraduate Admission, and vice versa.

Incoming first-year students and students needing to complete the general education requirements may apply to the William O. Douglas Honors College. Admission is granted to students who demonstrate excellence in academic achievement -both in high school course work and standardized tests. Self-motivated students with initiative and leadership skills are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants are normally expected to have completed two years of study in a foreign language as well as meet mathematics competence requirements prior to acceptance. However, those who have not done so will be required to complete two years of a foreign language, and mathematics coursework through Math 154 (Pre-Calculus II).
Central Washington University Students wishing to do a senior research project can apply to the Upper-Division Honors Program. Incoming transfer students (who have completed general education requirements or have earned an Associate Degree) may also apply to the William O. Douglas Honors College. All students will receive support in completing their senior projects, and are eligible for the DHC tuition waiver.
