During the week we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this concert will bear witness to the role of music and jazz musicians in the Civil Rights movement, and celebrate American jazz composer and musician Charles Mingus (1922 - 1979). This work, presented as a master's recital by Dean Snavely, will feature the CWU Wind Ensemble, and a quartet made up of Saul Cline (tenor sax), Reuel Lubag (piano), Jon Hamar (Bass) and Gary Hobbs (Drums)!
