Our goal for this forum is to explore and educate all aspects of human trafficking and child protection issues in Washington State, U.S. and around the world.

The confirmed speakers are:

Bill Forbes – World Vision International Director of Child Protection: International and national awareness of the problem, and general overview of what it is.

Velma Veloria – Former WA State Representative: The history of human trafficking in the State of Washington, the history of laws and current legislation pass on combatting human trafficking, and an elaboration on the different types of human trafficking that are found in the State of Washington and even locally. Also, how human trafficking victims are recruited.

Andy Conner – The Genesis Project: Deputy Sheriff in Seattle for Domestic Minor Sex trafficking (DMST): Real stories of victims and how law enforcement is involved in restoring victims and arresting perpetrators. Specifically, Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking and how girls get “caught up in the game.
