Livescribe

Disability Services lends SmartPens to students whose accommodation plan includes permission to record lectures.  Record everything you hear, say and write, while linking your audio recordings to your notes. Khan Academy

The Khan Academy is a free website that provides video tutorials for a wide range of subjects.  The videos are brief, with each one covering a specific section of information.

Erudio

Erudio is one of many free productivity apps for iPhones.  By tracking assignments, exams and projects, this app helps students stay on top of what needs to be done while monitoring grades and providing reminders about upcoming events.  

Any.do

Any.do is one of many free productivity apps for Android phones. Designed to be used daily, it features cloud sync, speech recognition, alerts, snooze, tasks, Google task sync, the capability to add notes, subtasks and recurring tasks. It also lets you know if you have missed a call, has auto-complete functionality, in-app actions, and gesture support. Also available on iPhone.

StudyStack and StudyBlue

Online flashcards allow students to quiz themselves before the big test.  Find out what you know and what you need to study.  Focus your attention on what you have not yet mastered.  With apps for smartphones and tablets, you can study on the go.

Evernote

Evernote makes life manageable, by letting you easily collect and find information using a variety of devices.  

Central Access Reader

CAR is a free text to speech program developed at Central Washington University.  This program reads Word Docs using the voices installed on your computer.  By saving files as MP3s, you can listen to your materials using the player of your choice.  If you don't like the way the voice sounds, look online for tts voice options.
