The rights of persons with disabilities are protected by both U.S. Federal and Washington State laws. Central Washington University is committed to honoring all such rights. There are both internal and external means to file complaints if individuals with disabilities believe that their rights have been violated.
CWU Internal Processes:
A fundamental cornerstone of CWU policies and procedures is that problems and conflicts need to be addressed as quickly as possible at the lowest possible level. Therefore, any problem solving or conflict resolution process on campus can be used to address issues related to disability.
Persons who believe that they have been discriminated against as a result of their having a disability may contact the Office for Equal Opportunity, Bouillon 205, (509) 963-2205 to initiate an informal or formal complaint.
External Enforcement Agencies:

This agency will conduct a telephone interview to determine jurisdiction. Following that, they will mail a written complaint form to the individual involved.
