Second 2013 McCracken Computational Science Seminar April 4

The Computer Science Department is proud to present our second McCracken Computational Science Seminar on April 4th at 4 p.m. in Hebeler 121.

Title: "How to Perform in a Job Interview", Tudor Toma, Principal Program Manager

Bio: Tudor has a master’s of science degree in computer science from the Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest, Romania. He started at Microsoft in 1992 as developer and then lead program manager for ActiveX Data Objects. Tudor led the InfoPath program management team to deliver a great forms authoring experience in Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 and 2007. Then he joined the SQL Server group to become one of the founders of SQL Data Services. Tudor led the program management team and delivered the first public beta version of SQL Data Services, now SQL Azure. Next Tudor contributed to the application platform for Windows Phone, managing key platform components such as the application runtime, database integration, cloud services support and the mobile enterprise application ecosystem.

Drawing from his broad management experience at Microsoft, Tudor is an accomplished leader and career mentor. In the past 20 years, he has participated as hiring manager in many job interviews for development, program management and test positions. He has conducted campus interviews for Microsoft in many US universities and has traveled internationally for new talent acquisition.

Tudor is now ready to share his experience with our CWU students. This time, he will be “on your site” and will help us "Interview for Success".
