07/11/2019 - Valley Musical Theatre Presents: THE MUSIC MAN

Sun, 06/30/2019 - 20:09
Oh, we got trouble. Right here in River City (aka Ellensburg) as Valley Musical Theatre proudly presents its 2019 Mainstage Summer Musical, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN. ~When Professor Harold Hill, a traveling con man, arrives in River City, he convinces the locals to start a band by purchasing the uniforms and instruments from him. His intention is to flee as soon as he receives the money. Librarian Marian Paroo suspects Harold is a fraud, but holds her tongue since her young brother, Winthrop, is excited about the band. As Harold begins to develop feelings for Marian, he faces a difficult decision about skipping town.~ An amazing cast of community members portray the citizens of River City, Iowa, in this All-American musical favorite. They bring to life the traditions, conflicts, pride, and love experienced in a small, mid-west township. Book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson. Based on a story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey. THE MUSIC MAN is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI, 423 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019. Tel: (212) 541-4684 Fax: (212) 397-4684. www.MTIShows.com
