Tue, 04/16/2019 - 20:14
The 11th Annual Rock Against Rape event is a great way to create an open and engaging environment for students, faculty, staff, and the Ellensburg community. This event encourages attendees to talk about sexual assault prevention and consent. Rock Against Rape is meant to be a safe and inclusive event to show survivors of sexual assault, they are not alone and we have a caring community that wants to help them. Those who are not survivors, can learn how to take responsibility as part of the solution in preventing sexual violence from happening in our community. Rock Against Rape will allow clubs and organizations to table and provide activities focused around sexual violence. This event will also feature headliner, Zhanea June and Mach X and other student performers. For more information about the other Sexual Assault Activism Month events visit the CWU Wellness Center’s Facebook page or contact Kristen Perry at kristen.perry@cwu.edu. To find more information about sexual violence, visit cwu.edu/wecare or nsvrc.org.
