The Purpose of Student Organizations
Student organizations provide a variety of experiences. The department strongly encourages students to become involved in at least one organization. It is a great way to meet people, build connections, develop one's resume, and a place to apply classroom learning.

The chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists hosts speakers, sponsors contests and provides conference opportunities.

The National Broadcast Society allows broadcasting students to explore the future of their field.

Students with high academic success and commitment to service are invited to join the student honor society.
