    Applying to graduate with the School of Graduate Studies and Research is the first step in your degree completion process. Please see instructions about how to apply.

  2. Register for Commencement
    If you plan to participate in Commencement, please complete the Commencement Registration Form by clicking the link below

  3. Order your Cap and Gown
    Official CWU regalia is required for participation in commencement. You must be registered for commencement in order to place your regalia order with the Wildcat Shop. To order your regalia, navigate to Wildcatshop.net –> Commencement –> Regalia or click here.

    *You will need your 10-digit commencement registration code to place your order.
  4. Attend Grad Kickoff
    Grad Kickoff, sponsored by the Wildcat Shop, is your one-stop-shop for all things commencement. You can pick up your cap and gown (if ordered by April 2, 2019), purchase a class ring, have your grad photo taken, and much more!

    Grad Kickoff dates for 2019 are:

    Ellensburg Campus:
         - Tuesday, April 16, 2019: 10:00am – 5:00pm
         - Wednesday, April 17, 2019: 10:00am – 5:00pm

    Des Moines Campus:
         - Wednesday, April 24, 2019: 1:00 – 7:00pm

    Lynwood Campus:
         - Thursday, April 25, 2019: 1:00 – 7:00pm

Commencement Registration – Important Dates and Deadlines

  • Commencement registration opens – March 1, 2019
  • Grad Kickoff (Ellensburg) – April 16 and 17, 2019
  • Grad Kickoff (Des Moines) – April 24, 2019
  • Grad Kickoff (Lynwood) – April 25, 2019
  • Commencement registration closes – May 10, 2019

 

CWU Master's/Education Specialist (EdS) students graduating from any of the west-side university centers or from an online program have the option to choose between attending the Graduate Hooding and Commencement Ceremony in Ellensburg (graduate [Master's and EdS] students only) or attending the CWU Kent Commencement Ceremony at ShoWare Center (which includes graduate and undergraduate students). More information about each of these ceremonies may be found in the left-hand side bar.
