ClassesYOGA FOR BEGINNERS Yoga is great for stress reduction, weight loss, toning and firming the body and achieving inner peace. This class goes over the basics of yoga for the total beginner. Open to everyone.
YOGA LEVEL ll In this class new postures are introduced, and techniques learned in Yoga for Beginners are refined.
NEW! YOGA FOR LARGE BODIES This gentle yoga class is geared toward those who have been interested in learning yoga, but have been intimidated due to having a larger body size. Postures will be modified using props if necessary to suit individual needs.
YOGA FOR SENIORS This gentle yoga class consists of postures that are modified for seniors or those that have been away from exercise for some time. | |
Class Times Classes are available at various times during the afternoons and evenings on the CWU campus, Mary Grupe Conference Center. Instructor: Lori ChandlerLori Chandler R.Y.T. is a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor who has lived in Ellensburg for 25 years. During the past fifteen years, she has taught yoga to thousands of Kittitas County residents through Ellensburg Community Schools, Central Washington University, and other organizations throughout the area. Her yoga classes were voted by the Ellensburg Community as "Ellensburg's Best Adult Recreation." Lori's classes are unique in that they teach total wellness. Rather than sitting in front of class stretching, she teaches a system of scientifically proven health benefits which include: instruction in stress reduction, breathing techniques, nutrition, relaxation, meditation, and yoga postures. Using her extensive training and experience Lori provides individual modifications to make yoga work for everyone, regardless of their age or physical limitations. Her classes include college students, housewives, professionals, senior citizens, business owners and a growing number of health care specialists who recognize the benefits of Yoga for stress reduction, weight loss, toning and firming the body, and achieving inner peace. | |
