Hail to the Hop

Friday, November 19, 2010
Location: Grupe center

Washington State is a world leader in hop production and fall is when their sweet aroma fills the air. We’ll take a closer look at the history of hops in brewing, learn more about Washington’s hop industry, and try some beers that owe their distinct character to the almighty hop.

Strong Ales & Stouts

Friday, December 10, 2010
Location: Grupe center
If you are a fan of light beers, then this class is not for you. We will explore a variety of full-bodied beers from around the world that are the perfect accompaniment to an overstuffed chair next to the woodstove. While these beers do contain hops, this class will be an ode to malts.
