TARGET POPULATION: CWU students and the Ellensburg community
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Campus-Community Coalition (CCC) is to reduce underage and high-risk drinking by fostering a united and sustained commitment to that goal and by changing practices, expectations, and policies within our communities.
The CCC uses a collaborative approach with campus and community stakeholders to change the environment within which students make decisions about drinking. Strategies used are developed through the application of scientific evidence and relevant research.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: The CCC uses environmental management strategies - strategies designed to change the environment within which high-risk drinking takes place. These include educational campaigns, increased law enforcement, and policy change things that influence a individuals choices regarding alcohol consumption. All programs and activities are carried out in collaboration with coalition partners, which include representatives from city and county government, law enforcement, prevention and treatment agencies, the public schools, local business and property owners, the liquor control board, and concerned citizens, along with university students, faculty, and staff.

EVALUATION: All programs and activities are evaluated regularly through analysis of data from law enforcement, the liquor control board, and campus surveys. Assessment data is published on the CCC web site.
