Individual counseling is available to enrolled students, by appointment or on a walk-in basis. A career counselor can assist in the following areas:

Selecting a major or graduate program
Personal career inventories
On-line assessments
Resumes and cover letters
Interviewing skills and preparation
Successful internship and job search strategies
Graduate school process and application
Employer research
Career direction and career transition
Alumni mentoring
Informational interviews
Individual Studies Major

Individual counseling is available to enrolled students as well as Alumni by appointment or on a walk-in basis.

Experienced counselors are available Monday through Friday 8 - 5 p.m. in Bouillon 206 on the Ellensburg campus. Call 963-2404 or 963-1921 for an appointment.

Online Career Counseling

Online career guidance is a service for Central Washington University students and alumni. This service is designed to assist individuals who are not able to meet individually with a career counselor. We will attempt to respond to questions within two business days of CWU normal working hours. Please submit your questions to career@cwu.edu. We will also review resumes and cover letters via email. Please allow one week for revisions.

Due to the unsecured nature of the Internet, CWU Career Services cannot guarantee the confidentiality of your comments. If you are concerned about the confidentiality of your questions, please contact our office at 509-963-2404 or 963-1921 to set up an office appointment. If you prefer, you may also schedule a phone appointment with one of the counselors. Most of our counselors have been trained in distance counseling and credentialed through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE).
