Office: CWU Lynnwood, Snoqualmie Hall - 302W
Education: Master of Education in Student Development Administration, Seattle University; Bachelor of Arts in English, University of Washington
Experience: Career Counselor, CWU Des Moines; Assistant Director, Career Development Center, Seattle University; School to Work Coordinator, Edmonds-Woodway High School; Outdoor Educator, Pacific Crest Outward Bound School
Favorite Job: Anything to do with teaching: teaching Career Management class, instructing climbing, etc. I love it when people’s eyes light up when they learn something new.
Least Favorite Job: Between the ages of 14- 20, I had held at least a dozen different jobs. The majority of them were not enjoyable. I was in desperate need of a good Career Counselor!
About Me: I have always had an appreciation for variety and adventure. After graduating from college, I spent a few years skiing, climbing and traveling. I worked as an Outdoor Educator and Rock Climbing Instructor, spending up to 30 days leading trips in the wilderness. I have always found joy in introducing people to the endless possibilities life offers, which led me to a job in education. I found the perfect fit when I started Career Counseling. It has been immensely satisfying assisting students in discovering their gifts, talents and passions. I follow the mantra: “Find out what you like doing best and get someone to pay you for doing it.”
