Hello. I am Kelsey Dahlgren a peer advisor at Central Washington University. This is my third year as a peer advisor and I could not pick a better job to have while attending school here. I work with a great group of fellow peer advisors under a wonderful Career Services staff. We love to help students advance themselves in their career development. Personally my favorite thing to help students with is their resumes. I love when I am able to show a student how to better their resume and then see them get the position they wanted in return!
This is my last year at Central. This Spring I will finish my double major in both Accounting and Business Administration. I recently completed an audit internship with the Big Four CPA firm KPMG, and signed my employment contract for next year. I look forward to starting there in the Seattle office, as an Audit Staff, next fall. My goal for next year is to obtain my CPA license and have a successful first year in the accounting world.
When not studying I enjoy taking part in extracurricular activities. I am the current president of Beta Alpha Psi, the honor society for Accounting and Finance students. I also enjoy exercising, hiking, and other outdoor activities, when it is warm enough! This past summer I also got married and am enjoying living married life this year spending time with my husband. Our favorite activity is to travel so we hope to do more of that in the near future!
