Favorite Job: Resident female vocal group at Queen's Hotel, Brisbane, Australia. A creative job with radio commercials, TV appearances, back-up singing for professional performers, gigs with various bands and performances at festivals. My current position at CWU gives me the opportunity to influence college students. It doesn't get much better than that.

Least Favorite Job: Chipping mortar off bricks. 100 bricks for $25.00--intensive labor under a hot sun, simply working for food

About Me: Raised in southern Wisconsin. Eldest of five children. Strongly influenced by grandparents and a very motivating English teacher. My brothers, sisters and I played musical instruments. Taught in Australia, The Lucky Country, for 13 years. Nominated for Top Teacher Award in Queensland. Managed private mental health practice. Published research on at-risk populations.

Married to Dr. Bob Trumpy, Assistant Professor in ITAM. Three sons, Jarrett, (CWU Class of 2005) Elliott (CWU Class of 2008) and Jordan (one year at CWU) who are now following their bliss, working and attending university in Brisbane, Australia. We are a traveling family: Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, India, Nepal, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and have spent many holidays in wilderness areas and national parks in the west. There are many roads yet to travel and mountains to climb.

I’ve been employed 9 ½ years at Central and appreciate the opportunity to help students navigate their career path.
