Wildcat Way Good Deeds during COVID-19

Notice Type:

Wildcat Way Good Deeds during COVID-19

Uplifting stories continue to surface during this crisis—stories of things people are doing to help others in need or to help a local business stay afloat, stories of how people are finding ways to stay connected with family, friends, and colleagues. Here are few from CWU:

Antonio Aguilar - IT Customer Support
Antonio and his team of four students have been working tirelessly to get the CWU community access to Adobe Programs, remote access to their office computers, and loaner laptops distributed to students. All of this has been done within a very short timeframe as our work and academic environment changes. This team is not only knowledgeable in all aspects of the work, but have been a positive face (voice) of the CWU Computer Support Services Department.

Erin Bledsoe - Library and Archives Paraprofessional
Erin is easily a VIP for the Circulation Department and the Brooks Library on any given day, but her technological expertise and passion during the transition to virtual service is immeasurable. She has worked tirelessly to assure that new library services are accessible and user-friendly, at all costs. We'd be in a great big world of hurt without her knowledge, sense of humor, and dedication.

Emily Rollie - Assistant Professor, Theater Arts
Emily has gone above and beyond to supply her colleagues with resources to help prepare their curriculum for online learning. She reached out to all of her students with a technology survey to see how she should be developing the class, but first asked them, ‘How are you? Really?’ Emily reaches out to her students in a welcoming video for her Theatre History class. This video has helped promote positive vibes in a time of uncertainty and engaged learners through online modalities before the quarter has even begun.
