The CWU Student Fashion Association is once again hosting the Fairy Godmother Project and they need your help!
This program started more than five years ago and is one of the Student Fashion Association’s biggest projects of the year. The goal of the event is to make prom more affordable for high school girls in the area by selling donated dresses for prices between $5 and $40.
In order to do this, they are asking for donations of new or gently used dresses, shoes and accessories. Donations will be accepted until Friday, March 8, and can be dropped off in one of two locations: between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday in the SURC and noon to 3 p.m. Monday and Wednesday in Michaelsen Hall. Donation arrangements can also be made by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org if none of the scheduled drop-off times are convenient.
The Fairy Godmother Project event is Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the SURC Ballroom. There is a $5 cover charge, and the event is open to the public.
