This Training May Someday Save Your Life and Thousands of Dollars

Just how important to society are fire extinguishers?  It turns out VERY IMPORTANT! Studies have shown that after notifying the fire department, the average person can help save lives and protect property by using a fire extinguisher during an emergency.

It is also very important to understand the classification of fires when deciding to use a fire extinguisher. These classifications are extremely important because the wrong extinguisher could make the fire worse and lead to additional property damage or injury. Knowing what types of fires you could have and maintaining your fire extinguishers could save your property and many lives.

Free Workshop: Fire Extinguisher Training - EHS001
Date: Tuesday, October 17th
Time: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Room: SURC Room 140

The hands-on class will be using a new state-of-the-art fire extinguisher training system.  If you've ever wondered how to actually use that fire extinguisher hanging on the wall next to your office (or that extinguisher on the shelf in your garage or kitchen) here's your chance! The Fire Marshall will also discuss the most prominent campus fire safety issues and answer any and all questions you might have about fire safety.
