The Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series is happy to welcome award-winning fiction writer Jason Brown to the CWU campus. Jason Brown will give a free public reading of his work on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in the SURC Theatre.
Jason Brown is the author of Driving The Heart and Other Stories (Norton, 1999) and Why the Devil Chose New England for His Work (Open City, 2007). Brown grew up in Maine, received his MFA from Cornell University, and was a Stegner and Capote Fellow at Stanford University. His stories have been included in the Best American Short Stories and on NPR's Selected Shorts, as well as featured in The Atlantic, Harpers, and many other journals.
Brown currently teaches at the University of Oregon.
The Wildcat Shop will feature Brown's books and will sell copies at the reading. This reading is sponsored by the CWU English Department and the College of Arts and Humanities.
