Similar to the Microsoft Campus Agreement that CWU has participated in for several years, Adobe recently announced the creation of their Educational Enterprise License Agreement and CWU was one of the 1st Universities to sign up. With the effort of several individuals in ITS and CAH (and approved by the Enterprise Team & Cabinet) ... this new license agreement (which is centrally funded via the ITS budget) provides the following:
1) Adobe Acrobat Professional will now be part of CWU's base software image and loaded on every computer on campus.
2) Adobe Creative Suite (Design & Web Edition) will be installed on up to 1000 computers on campus, starting with all of the Classroom/Lab facilities on campus ... assuring that our faculty and students always have access to the most current version of Adobe Creative Suite in all of these instructional rooms.
ITS is already actively moving forward on this, with the goal of installing Creative Suite Version 6.0 in all classroom/lab facilities over the Holiday break (Podium computers in traditional classrooms are not part of this initial rollout). ITS will provide more information as we continue this rollout.
