Political columnist Glenn Greenwald @ CWU Monday @ 4 p.m.!

Political columnist and commentator Glenn Greenwald will be the keynote speaker at this year’s First Amendment Festival Monday, May 6 at 4 p.m. in the SURC Theatre. His talk, "Under Fire: The War on Terror's War on the First Amendment," is free and open to the public.


Greenwald is currently writing for The Guardian, where his columns frequently alert readers to infringements on their First Amendment freedoms and civil liberties. Greenwald is the author of three New York Times bestselling books, most recently, “Liberty and Justice for Some”. He was also awarded the I.F. Stone Award for his investigative work on the arrest and oppressive detention of Bradley Manning, a United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed classified material to the website WikiLeaks.
