The most eagerly-awaited ski film of the year, “Superheroes of Stoke,” is coming to campus Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:35 p.m. in the SURC Theatre. Tickets are $8 for Central students, $12 for general admission and available at www.cwu.edu/tickets or at the door. Stevens Pass will be on hand to give away free night lift tickets to the first 300 people to purchase tickets.
“Superheroes of Stoke” honors the moments and people who helped define modern extreme skiing. The film features some of the biggest names in freeskiing shredding down terrain parks and mountains alike. Modern superstars like Sean Pettit and Mark Abma appear alongside the legends of earlier generations, such as Seth Morrison and Sarah Burke.
Pushing the limits and never settling, the athletes of “Superheroes of Stoke” risk everything to pull off the biggest tricks and make freeskiing a world-wide adrenaline rush. With big names and big air, these superheroes will show audiences where freeskiing has come from and where it will go next.
