October 28 // Make a Difference Day

Anyone can Make a Difference

Originating in 1992, Make a Difference Day is the largest nationally recognized day of community service. This year, on October 28, Ellensburg will once again partake in improving the lives of others by bringing together students and members from the community.

The CWU Center for Leadership & Community Engagement is looking for volunteers to help the Ellensburg Downtown Association transform and rearrange the decorative metal flower pots along with others around town for the upcoming seasonal change. Volunteers will meet in the SURC Pit at 9:30 a.m. and until 1:00 p.m. will help out downtown. Additionally, FREE lunch will be provided!

If you have a passion for helping others and you want to get involved in the community, this is a great day to start!

For more information, stop in at the CWU Center for Leadership and Community Engagement in SURC 256, or give them a call at (509) 963-1850.
