Mid-Columbia Fisheries Planting Party

Mid-Columbia Fisheries Planting Party
November 1
10 am to 2 pm
Swauk Valley Ranch

The great outdoors is calling. Join Mid-Columbia Fisheries, along with the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement, for a planting party to restore the riparian area of Swauk Creek. The Swauk Valley Ranch, The Nature Conservancy, the Mid-Columbian Enhancement Group, and other partners have been working to restore this part of the Swauk Valley ecosystem since 2007. Please help them in their ongoing efforts to protect the environment.

On Friday, November 1, the CLCE is seeking 21 volunteers to plant native trees and shrubs for the restoration project. Gloves, equipment, transportation, and light refreshments will be provided. Check in will be at 10 a.m. in the SURC pit. Then volunteers will depart from the SURC at 10:30 a.m. to Swauk Valley Ranch. Once the party has concluded, we will depart the ranch at 1:30 p.m. to arrive at the SURC by 2 p.m.
