May 17th Speaker: Sasha Pasulka "How to Navigate the Technology Field as a Woman"

Sasha will be discussing her lucrative career with us, what it has been like to navigate the technology field as a woman, the do's and don'ts of getting a job, interviewing, etc.  She will even address how to handle conflict in the workplace, and how to come out of our shells. She is very dynamic and well-worth attending the talk.

Light refreshments will be served after the talk and Q & A session.

Bio: Sasha Pasulka is the Vice President of Marketing at Salad Labs, a social games company based in Seattle. She began her career as a software engineer, building mission systems software for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. She left to start a celebrity gossip blog, which grew into an international media company with over 13M monthly readers. She exited that business in 2010 and decided to try the other side of publishing, managing digital strategy for Duran Duran, Incubus, Linkin Park and other rock-star creative brands at the Red Magnet Media agency in San Francisco. Now at Salad Labs, she’s focused on improving the way people acquire information. She’s also a Startup Weekend global facilitator, encouraging budding entrepreneurs all over the world to kick-start their ideas. Sasha has a B.S. in computer science from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!) and an MBA from UCLA Anderson.
