The Lion Rock Visiting Writers Series presents author and speaker David James Duncan Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the SURC Theatre. This event is free and open to the public.
Duncan, author of novels “The River Why” and “The Brothers K” and the non-fiction collections “My Story As Told By Water” and “Good Laughs & Plays,” is a Montana resident and is passionate about the wilderness. Duncan has a keenness for “direct, small-scale, compassion-activism” and has traveled all over the United States speaking about everything from rivers and wilderness to the tragicomedy of the writing life. This renowned author and fly fishermen has also spoken on other topics such as imaginative and spiritual freedom and the dire importance of the interior West's vanishing salmon.
