CWU has embarked on various sustainability efforts such as solar panels, xeroscaping, LEED certified buildings, and water bottle filling stations. Now, the CWU Campus Sustainability Map invites students, employees, and community members to learn about these initiatives. Check it out here:

The map was developed by Jason Bradshaw, a CWU undergraduate majoring in Geography with a Geographic Information Systems specialization. Bradshaw received a College of the Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) grant in 2018, which allowed him to work on the map full time under the guidance of Dr. Sterling Quinn. The map is built entirely with free and open source software components.

CWU geography students will continue to maintain and improve the map as new sustainability projects are developed. Please send suggestions and updates to sterling.quinn@cwu.edu.
