Central Washington University and the state of Washington have lived through and managed many a disaster. Sometimes we are under stress not only because we’re helping our students, but also because we’re affected ourselves.

We all are experiencing stress during this COVID-19 pandemic. Daily, we assist students, help other employees, and deal with those who are upset and angry. At the same time, we’re worried for ourselves, our families, and our co-workers. Plus, so many of us are adjusting to this huge change called teleworking.

Some resources that are available to you:

  • You can reach out to someone at our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), attend one of their newly developed webinars or look at one of their many self-guided resources.
  • Join us for our weekly Zoom gatherings, Tuesday Talks with HR.
  • Attend Present Moments with Katrina Whitney for Mindful Meditation Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:30am. Email for more information.
  • Stay active at home. University Recreation is offering many virtual programs for Spring Quarter which are available to employees. URec has a variety of group exercise, eSports, trivia nights, skill tutorials, and challenges at your fingertips.

COVID-19 information and FAQs are available at: We’ll get through this together. #cwutogether
